It occurs to me that K/S is of course the *other* archetypal slash pairing (Gilgamesh/Enkidu notwithstanding). Spock has the avoiding-emotion thing going on, but I have to say, apart from that, I can't really see echoes of H/W there. Is K/S some other "type" of pairing, or am I talking out of my arse?
